Elva Williams Waddell, age 91, of Boardwalk Street, Morehead, Kentucky,passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Elliott Nursing and Rehab Center in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. She was born March 17, 1916, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Talmadge Williams and Navada Gilliam Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth, Emerson, and Randy and her sisters, Hermel, Plura, and Lorain. Her husband, Charles Waddell, passed away in 1980, and four sons, Norwood Lloyd, Danny, Johnnie, and Elwayne Waddell also preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Troy Waddell and Barb, of Morehead, Kentucky, and one daughter, Arvetta W. Grubb and Les of Morehead, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was a Christian and attended Sharkey Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from Cowden Manufacturing Company in Morehead. She enjoyed her family, gardening, flowers, and music. Funeral service will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnette Family Cemetery on Cold Springs Road. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
