Maria Elva Madrigal Delgado, age 50, of South Blair Avenue, Morehead, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Elva was born November 21, 1958, in Degollado, Mexico, and is the daughter of Maria Munoz and Adolfo Madrigal of Degollado, Mexico. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Lorenzo Delgado, whom she married July 24, 1987, and their five children, Manuel, Johnny, Lorenzo, Steven and Alma Delgado, all at home. Other survivors include three brothers, Eleuterio of Virginia, Rafael of Ohio, Ramiro of North Carolina; eight sisters, Guillermina of Frankfort, KY, Trinidad and Maria of North Carolina, Imelda, Gloria, and Leticia, all of Virginia, and Irma and Bertha of Morehead, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Elva was a very devoted mother who especially enjoyed her time with her children. She was a member of Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church, participated in church activities, and very often attended daily mass. A funeral mass will be conducted at 12 noon Sunday, August 9, 2009, at Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church with the Rev. Jay Von Handorf and the Rev. Paul Prabell officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009, one hour prior to the service at Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
