Elmer (Ken) Kinder, Jr., 80, Muncie, Indiana, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 16, 2008. Born November 20, 1927, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Elmer and Myrle Hogge Kinder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Kinder, and a daughter, Adele Kinder. He is survived by one sister, Jane Kinder (Glen) Curtis of Beckley, West Virginia; three brothers, Paul (Gypsy) Kinder of Wilmington, Ohio, Denver Kinder of Morehead, Kentucky, and Gilbert Kinder of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; three nieces; seven nephews; and a special friend, Sara Bantz. Mr. Kinder was an active associate with Kinder Investments and was previously a real estate broker. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 433, enjoyed traveling and life. Ken attended the True Light Baptist Church. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008, at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden with the Rev. Paul Jackson officiating. Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Local arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
