Obituary

Elmer Ray Bowling, age 64, of Clearfield, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born July 27, 1951, in Morehead, a son of the late Noah Lee and Lillian Fultz Bowling. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie and Danny Bowling; and two sisters, Dorthy Marie Bowling Williams and Betty Adkins. Ray's wife, Faye Marie Bowling, passed away December 7, 2002. He is survived by one son, Jeremy and Crystal Bowling of Clearfield; one daughter, Michelle Bowling of Bradenton, Florida; five grandchildren, Randall Bowling, Felicia Bowling, Jeremy Scott Bowling, Lane Mitchell Bowling, and Faith Elaine Bowling; and one great grandson, Ayden Samuel Ray Bowling. Ray is also survived by six brothers, Bill Bowling of Olive Hill, Jimmy Bowling, Curtis Bowling, Jerry Bowling, Kenny Bowling, and Johnny 'Bull' Bowling, all of Morehead; two sisters, Joyce Ballew of Burnsville, North Carolina, Mary Murphy of Belleville, Michigan, and Kay Keeton of Manitou Beach, Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. Ray started as a crane operator in 1974 and worked for various companies in the area. He retired in 2014 from W. Rogers Company in Lexington. Ray enjoyed working and spending time outdoors and with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in Newman Cemetery in Fleming County. Pallbearers: Jeremy, Randall, Archie, Lane, Scott, and Toby Bowling and Donnie Bradley Visitation is in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, August 17, 2015, 6-9 p.m., Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Funeral: Tuesday, August 18, 2015, 1 p.m. Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel Interment: ewman Cemetery, Fleming County
