Elma Gertrude Puckett Irvin, age 75, of Rawcel Heights, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 23, 2008, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead after an extended illness. Born May 6, 1933, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Monnie Belle Sparks Puckett. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Puckett, and two sisters, Linda and Geneva Puckett. Elma is survived by one daughter, Robin Lands and her husband Roy of Soldier, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Matthew Lands and Valarie and Adam Lands and Sunshine; and four great grandchildren, Samantha Parker, Ivory Dixon, Hannah Lands, and Wrangler Lands. Also surviving are four brothers, Clayton Puckett of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Jimmy Puckett of Morehead, Kentucky, Robbie Puckett of Soldier, Kentucky, Mike Puckett of Winston Salem, North Carolina; five sisters, Violet Fields of Demopolis, Alabama, Pauline Terry of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Jackie Howard of Morehead, Kentucky, Diana Puckett of Morehead, Kentucky, Yvonne Sue Puckett of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Elma was a member of the Upper Tygart Homemakers Club and enjoyed gardening and canning. She was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Puckett, Darren Puckett, David Puckett, Arnie Henderson, John Lands, and George Lands. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christian Social Services, 1446 E.
