Ella Mae Arnett Evans, age 76, of U.S. 60 East, Salt Lick, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born March 27, 1931, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Noble and Thelma Cordell Arnett. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou McGarey. She is survived by her husband , James (Jimmy) Evans; one son, Brent Evans of Salt Lick, Kentucky; one daughter, Cindy Colbert of Largo, Florida, one sister, Brenda Blanton and husband Fred of Morehead, Kentucky; two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Ella Mae was a former secretary manager of the Selective Service Board in Morehead, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Salt Lick, and a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Guy McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Midland, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Brad Marlowe, Billy Moore, Kason Hogge, Bill Blanton, Gerald Jones, and Foy Middleton.
