Eleanor Louise Andrews, age 87, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at the home of her son, Morehead State University President Wayne D. Andrews, with whom she had resided for the past two years. Born May 29, 1921, in Spencer, Massachusetts, Mrs. Andrews was the daughter of the late Frank and Louise Comeau Berthiaume. A resident of Massachusetts for 85 years, Mrs. Andrews was a graduate of David Prouty High School in Spencer and Salter Secretarial School in Worcester, Massachusetts. She retired from Salter-s as Bursar and Director of Financial Aid after 20 years of service. Mrs. Andrews was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and took great pride in her family, especially her grandchildren. She was dedicated to and was a lifelong member of her church, Saint Mary-s Church of Spencer, MA. She was a member of the Associates Program of Sisters of St. Anne and was a member of the St. Mary-s Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Mrs. Andrews became a member of Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church when she came to Morehead in July, 2007. Mrs. Andrews- husband of 54 years, Gordon P. Andrews, and her youngest son, Bruce P. Andrews, both preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include her son Dr. Wayne Andrews and his wife Susan of Morehead, Kentucky; her son, Mark G. Andrews and his wife Lauren of Scottsdale, Arizona; her daughter, Christine E. Nicholas of Westwood, Massachusetts; ten grandchildren, Donald Nicholas, Lisa Ross, Christopher Nicholas, Josh Andrews, Jill Andrews, Craig Andrews, Renee Andrews, Eric Andrews, Katelyn Andrews, and Kristen Andrews; two great grandchildren, Ella and Chase Ross; and her sister, Marie Lacroix of Fort Pierce, Florida. Visitation is Friday, February 6, 2009, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. A service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Prabell and the Rev. Bruce Nettleton officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Spencer, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church, 309 Battson-Oates Avenue, Morehead, KY 40351 or Morehead State University Foundation Scholarship Fund, Palmer Development House, Morehead, KY 40351 Visitation: Friday, February 6, 2009, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, February 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment: Holy Rosary Cemetery
