Edna B. Sparks (Granny Mac) McKinney, 96, of Roanoke, VA, formerly of Morehead, KY., died peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday, February 17, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles A. and Amelia Fletcher Sparks; husband, George Roger McKinney; son, Charles Roger McKinney; and five siblings. She is survived by daughters, Carol J. Phillips (Oscar) and Paula K. Ortegon (Jorge); sisters, Edith Sparks Reeder and Faye Sparks Littleton; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and loving caregiver, Rhonda Shelton. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Lee Cemetery with Dr. Jack Ellis officiating.
