Obituary

Edna Mae Caudill, 93, formerly of Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky. Born February 6, 1920, in New Boston, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Lambert and Amanda Nickell Lambert. On January 31, 1937, she wed Oscar W. Caudill, who passed away July 5, 1989, after 52 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur Lambert, Herbert Lambert, Luster Lambert, and one sister, Alta Lambert McBrayer. She is survived by her 4 children, James Roger Caudill and wife Marilyn of Lyndale, TX, Susan L. Bailey and husband Shelton of Liberty, KY, Robert Carl Caudill and wife Leta of Lyndale, TX, and Anthony Scott Caudill and wife JoAnn of Paris, KY. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, Debra and John Rhoads, Terri Caudill, James L. and Karen Bailey, Jeff and Devra Bailey, James R. Bailey, Keith Howard, Melissa Freeman, Robin Caudill, Amanda Caudill, Amanda R. and Eric Mullins, and Ryan Floyd; and 7 great grandchildren. She also leaves many special nieces, nephews, and church friends. Edna Mae was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God where she taught Sunday school for many years and was the treasurer and secretary. She was an avid, longtime volunteer for the Saint Claire Medical Center Auxiliary and a member of the Rowan County Day Homemakers club. In addition to being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was well known for her love of her church activities, quilting, cooking, gardening, and joy found in nature. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Max Molihan and Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Pallbearers will be James L. Bailey, James R. Bailey, Jeff Bailey, Jordan Bailey, Eric Mullins, and Mike Lambert. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, May 6, 2013, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
