Edna Elizabeth Gregory Prater McKee, age 84, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Pioneer Trace Nursing and Rehab in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. Born May 14, 1926, in Sharkey, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Grace Caudill Gregory. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Amanda Eldridge; two brothers, Jesse Gregory and Junior Gregory; her first husband, Avery Prater; and one son, Earl Gene Prater. Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband, William Fay McKee, whom she married December 15, 1973; two grandchildren, April and Chris Smith of Morehead, Kentucky, and Heather and Bruce Hamilton of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Kevin Tyler Smith, Taylor LeShae Smith, Jeffery Lee Plank, and Johnathan Lynn Henderson; one stepson, Scott McKee of Sevierville, Tennessee; and one stepdaughter, Betty Ann Crowder of Columbus, Ohio. Mrs. McKee was a homemaker and former employee of the U.S. Shoe Factory in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Lonnie Gregory and Elder Hurley Short officiating.
