Obituary

Edith 'Penny' Louise Holbrook Fultz, age 71, of Kentra Lane, Morehead, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born January 17, 1946, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Louie Ernest and Mary Ellen Brinegar Holbrook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Samuel Chandler 'Sammie' Fultz, on November 1, 2002, and two brothers, Chester Holbrook and Terry Holbrook. Penny is survived by one son, Jeff Fultz of Aynor, South Carolina; five brothers, James Holbrook, Ernest Holbrook, and William Holbrook, all of Morehead, Gary Holbrook of Midland, and Donald Holbrook of Owingsville; one sister, Frances Short of Bartow, Florida; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and host of nieces and nephews. She was homemaker and a housekeeper for several families. Penny was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Uwe W. Giese officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Fultz, Jeffery Fultz II, Ethan Fultz, Kacie Vancleve, Donald Holbrook, and Ernest Holbrook. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Holbrook, Bobby Holbrook, James D. Holbrook, and James A. Holbrook. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Wedneday, April 12, 2017, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 1 p.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
