Eddie "Tt"
Tilden Martin
Jan 12, 1969 — Oct 25, 2022
Eddie "TT" Tilden Martin, age 53, of Sayre Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, a loving husband, son, dad, and Pappy, walked through the Heavenly Gates on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Eddie was born January 12, 1969, at Martin, Kentucky, in Floyd County, a son of Sharon Gail Moore Martin and the late Eddie Von Martin. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Brent Martin.
He leaves his dedicated family to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 32 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Mosley Martin, whom he married on February 10, 1990; three devoted children: Paula Terry and husband Josh of Morehead, Evan Martin and wife Annie of Owingsville, and Amanda Martin of Morehead; four precious grandchildren, who were the light of his eyes: Ashley Dawn Terry, Christina Lynn Terry, Jamie Grace Terry, and Olivander Wesley Martin. Eddie joked about being in the "Mosley Mafia" – once you get in, you can't get out!
Other to cherish his memory include his mother, Sharon Gail Moore Martin of Dema, Kentucky; a sister, Erika Von Easter of Mt. Sterling; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Eddie was known as a hard-working man whose life was spent helping others, taking special care of his family, and making everyone he met feel better--even on a bad day. Eddie grew up in Knott County and was a proud Eastern Kentucky coal miner. He was currently a blast technician with Brandywine Explosives in Paris, Kentucky.
Spending time with his family and hanging out with his grandchildren meant everything to Pappy. He was the family comedian, grill master, all-time wiffle ball champion, and relic hunter. One of his favorite pastimes was searching for Civil War artifacts to add to his collection. He was a great sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed cheering on the Steelers, Reds, and Wildcats with family and friends. He never met a stranger and everyone he met became "family." He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted family and others he met on his earthly journey.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Randall Short, Don Gibson and Regan Conley presiding.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
