Earnie Lee Hargett, age 75, of Hargett Drive, Olive Hill, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at his home.

Born August 13, 1948, in Olive Hill, Earnie was the son of the late Allie Russell Hargett and Effie Marie Evans Hargett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edra Jane "Janie" Greenhill Hargett on December 11, 2023, and one brother, Allie Russell Hargett, Jr.

Earnie is survived by one son, Anthony Hargett and his wife Leona; one daughter, Dr. Janet Fultz and husband Scott, all of Olive Hill; three sisters, Marilyn Harr and Fern Butts, both of Olive Hill, and Lyda Russell and husband Dan of Lexington; extended family and many friends.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1969 to 1971.  Earnie was a retired machinist for the Ashland Oil Company.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his side by side, and taking car rides with family and friends. Earnie was of the Christian faith and will be remembered with love and greatly missed.

At his request, no services will be held.
