Earnest Wilson, age 81, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, in his home. He was born January 25, 1934, in Morehead, the son of the late Alfred and Ethel Sloan Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Genieve Stegall, and a brother, Herbert Wilson. Earnest is survived by his wife of 36 years, Edna Wilson of Springfield; two sons, Alfred Wilson of Rush and Brian Wilson of Springfield, Ohio; six grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, Roger (Linda) Wilson of Morehead; three sisters, Betty (Bill) Offill of Olive Hill, Madaline Romaneck of Olive Hill, and Ruth Reese of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews. Earnest spent forty-one years of service at Navistar retiring in 1996. During his time at Navistar he was a Union Steward for Local 402 UAW. Earnest loved the outdoors and going hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bobby Day and Rob Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson-Epperhart Cemetery. Nephews and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
