Obituary

Earl Ray Sheets, age 84, of Alec Spencer Road, West Liberty, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at the VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Born August 3, 1933, in Bonney, he was a son of the late Norman and Hazel Vest Sheets. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Letha Nell Patrick Sheets on December 8, 2013; three sisters, Carolene Pelfrey, Cathlene Sheets, and Minnie Sheets; and one brother, Larry David Sheets He is survived by one daughter Jennifer Mae Sheets of West Liberty; one sister, Imogene Marshall of West Liberty; and several nieces and nephews. Earl Ray was a lifelong entrepreneur and owner of Shilo Mobile Home Community and founder and former owner of Sheets Bookkeeping and Tax Service in West Liberty. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1953 to 1955. Earl Ray was a member of the Christian Church in West Liberty. A memorial service will be conducted 5 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
