Earl Kiser, age 79, of Trent Ridge, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born November 22, 1930, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Elmer and Stella Hanes Kiser. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Lee Jones Kiser, in 1993; two brothers, Chester Kiser and Carl Kiser; and two sisters, Lola Wilson and Nora Sloan. Earl is survived by his wife, Christine McBrayer Trent Kiser; a son, Danny Ray Kiser of Morehead, Kentucky; granddaughter, Cassidy Morgan; and great granddaughter, Madison Morgan, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also surviving are two stepchildren, Diana Trent Gray and Kennith Trent and his wife Jennifer, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and Papaw Earl-s grandchildren, Jessica Gray of Lexington, Kentucky, and Brittany Gray, Joseph Gray, Logan Trent, and Kenna Trent, all of Morehead, Kentucky. Earl was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a farmer and welder. A longtime Christian, he attended the First Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
