Dorothy -Dot- Sparks Bradley, age 77, of Big Brushy Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehab Center in Owingsville, Kentucky. Born September 27, 1932, in Carter County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Wyona Lewis Sparks. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Buel Sparks and Frank Sparks; three sisters, Monnie Castle, Dixie Burch, and Jannie Sparks; and her husband, Smith Bradley, Jr., who passed away in 1958. She is survived by two brothers, James Sparks of Morehead, Kentucky, and Noel Sparks of Munice, Indiana; one sister, Bea Easton of Morehead, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Dot retired in the mid nineties as a cosmetology teacher from Mayo Technical College in Paintsville, Kentucky. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and working with flowers. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Greg Hignite officiating. Burial will follow in Hogge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Sparks, Matt Sparks, Rick Sparks, Greg DeVaney, Karen DeVaney, Mark Hogge, Coty Thacker, and Chase Thacker.
