Dorothy Mae Scott McClurg, age 75, of Moores Flat Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born June 1, 1937, in Eskdale, West Virginia, a daughter of Alice Ingle Scott of Morehead, Kentucky, and Claude Scott, who passed away March 12, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Forest Glenn McClurg, on September 16, 1997, and daughter-in-law, Carol Jean Prewitt McClurg, on June 25, 2012. In addition to her mother, Dorothy is survived by three sons, Zach McClurg and wife Pam of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Orville Glenn McClurg and wife Elizabeth of Morehead, Kentucky, and Kenneth Ray McClurg, of Morehead, Kentucky; five grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Other survivors include three sisters, Pat Amburgey of Dade City, Florida, Lydia Montgomery of Morehead, Kentucky, and Betty Riddle and husband Tony of Owingsville, Kentucky; two brothers, James Leon Scott and wife Marsha and Alan Wayne Scott, all of Morehead, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. Dorothy retired from Morehead State University after 22 years of service in the Housekeeping Department. She was a member of Salt Lick Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cecil Cornett, Kenneth Ray McClurg, Jr., Zach McClurg, Ryan Ayres, Shawn Kay, and Orville McClurg, Jr. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, July 2, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, July 3, 2012,at 11 a.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
