Dorothy "Dot" Fields Knight, age 87, of Windsor Gardens Assisted Living, Georgetown, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019, at U.K. HealthCare in Lexington. Born September 24, 1931, in Whitesburg, she was the daughter of the late Corbin and Dolly Day Fields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl, Johnny, James Harry, and Glen Fields, and infants Vern Cecil and Elmer Fields, and two sisters, Loraine Rose and Katy Kahn. Dot's husband, Johnny Knight, whom she married September 11, 1950, also preceded her in death on January 14, 2010. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John Russell "Rusty" and Leona Knight of Georgetown; two grandsons, Wesley Knight (Stacy) and Nicholas Knight (Lisa); and six great grandchildren, Olivia, Miles and Jaiden Knight and Robert, Nora and Charlotte Wilke. Other survivors include three brothers, Joseph Fields (Akiko) of Norfolk, Virginia, Ray Fields of London, and Edward Fields (Carolyn) of Homestead, Florida; three sisters, Imogene Morgan of Buford, Georgia, Sue Campbell of Liberty, and Fay Wood (Martin) of Jacksonville, Florida; sister-in-law, Ethel Joyce Pond of Knoxville, Tennessee; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Dot was an avid reader, and she, along with her husband Johnny, loved fishing, antiquing, and traveling. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Johns officiating. Burial will follow in the King Family Cemetery on Rosedale Road. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
