Dorothy B. Drake Archer, 87, of Cranston Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.

Born May 23, 1938, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late William Drake and Zola Roberts Drake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Glover; six brothers, John, Roy, Elmo, Clyde, Jesse, and Carl Drake; and four sisters, Dolly Dailey, Lorene Schafer, Christine Hamm, and Shirley Coie.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Sherry McCann of Morehead, Bonnie Hargreaves of Florida, and Donna Glover of Hillsboro; one brother, Robert Glen Drake of Wallingford; six grandchildren, Michael McClurg, Joseph Donohew, Jocelyn Hargreaves, Sonya Hargreaves, Kearston Purvis, and Scott Helphenstine; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Dorothy retired after 30 years at A. O. Smith in Mt. Sterling and also worked at Cowden's Manufacturing. She loved farm life, caring for her cattle and horses. She enjoyed flower gardening, spending time with family and friends, and caring for all kinds of animals. But her greatest pride was her black 1983 Pontiac Trans-Am.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Lansford May officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Donohew, Troy Caldwell, Jr., Robert Drake, Jr., Henry Drake, Kearston Purvis, Michael McClurg, and Scott Helphenstine.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
