Doris Ann Purvis Turner Haney, age 84, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born June 20, 1929, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Nora Lyons Purvis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Edwin 'Tottie' Turner in 1986; her second husband, Ezra Clyde Haney, Jr. in 1991; and one son, Walter Monroe Turner. She is survived by one son, Richard Edwin Turner of Clearfield; two daughters, Nora Beth Wallace of Clearfield and Nancy Ann Lewis and husband Dave of Evansville, Indiana; one sister, Mary Sue Layne of Owingsville; seven grandchildren, David (Sherri) Lewis, Brian (Christy) Lewis, Kevin (Tina) Turner, Leslie Wallace, Janie Wallace, Ryan Turner, and Elizabeth Turner; and eight great grandchildren, Emma, Carly, and Jacob Lewis; Tyler, Mahala, and Jordan Wallace; Chase Allen; and Beth Turner. Doris was a former employee of Camden-Carroll Library at Morehead State University and The Morehead News and retired from the Rowan County Clerk's office. She enjoyed horses and car races and visiting with family and friends. Doris attended the Morehead First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother John Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Roger Staton, Don Law, Dean Hall, Janie Wallace, Virgil Wallace, and Sammy Hicks. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Friday, October 11, 2013, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
