Dora Lena Gregory Haney, age 75, of White Cemetery Road, Morehead, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, September 09, 2010, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. Born April 4, 1935, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Henry Cecil and Lenola Brown Gregory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelia Diane Haney; four brothers, Earl, Harlan, Gary, and Ronnie Gregory; and one sister, Marie Pettit. Her husband, Elmo L. Haney, passed away April 25, 2005. She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Connie Waddell and husband Raymond of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Bonnie Collins and husband Hal of Elliottville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Roger Holbrook, Jr., Adam Holbrook and wife Christy, Raymond Waddell and friend Samantha Brikley, Phillip Waddell and wife Misty, and Lanetta Winkleman and husband Richard; and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Janice Wells, and Janette McKinney and husband Flavis, all of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Kenneth Gregory and wife Linda of Grayson, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Ray Haney of Detroit, Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Sergent of Maryville, Ohio, and Irene Staton of Morehead, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. Mrs. Haney was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed making quilts and crocheting. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Daniel Long officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Holbrook, Jr., Adam Holbrook, Travis Holbrook, Hal Collins, Raymond Waddell, Raymond Waddell, Jr., Phillip Waddell, and Richard Winkleman.
