Donnie Wayne Lewis, age 51, of Shirley Avenue, Gibsonton, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born November 21, 1961, in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late Fred Henry Lewis and Queenie Pauline Evans Lewis. Donnie is survived by his wife, Theresa Gregory Lewis; one son, Sundance Lewis of Florida; five daughters, Tabitha Lewis and Rebecca Lewis, both of Pikeville, Kentucky, Francesca Lewis and Samantha Lewis, both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Victoria Lewis of Florida; one stepson, Brandon Gregory of Florida; three stepdaughters, Andrea Tackett of Clearfield, Kentucky, Aleisha Hardin and Amanda Hardin, both of Florida; two grandchildren; and five step grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, Dairus D. Lewis and Patricia of Morehead, Kentucky, Danny G. Lewis and Carol of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and David R. Lewis and Ava of Bolckow, Missouri; two sisters, Marvina Lewis Reeves and Doug and Margie L. Wilson and Roger, all of Lexington, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.. Donnie served in the U.S. Army from 1980 until 1983 and was a construction worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery with military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers: Doug Reeves, Brandon Gregory, Junior Carpenter, Willard Wages, Derek Lewis, Tim Kubajak, Jr., and Bruce Johnson. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
