Donald Stone, age 92, of Bartlett Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 3, 2007, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. Born March 15, 1915, in Lewis County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John Edward and Lucinda Cooper Stone. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Stone, in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 71 years and nine months, Bessie Florence Sloan Stone; two daughters, Jeanette Stone of Morehead, Kentucky, and Lou Ella Lowe of Lexington; six grandchildren, Steve Stone, Mark Lowe, Deborah Walker, Jennifer Tolliver, Tim Lowe, and Daphne Stone; nine great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Mr. Stone was an employee of Wright-s Aeronautical Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio, during World War II from 1942-45 and was the owner and operator of Stone-s Auto Parts in Morehead for many years. He was a member of the First Church of God where he was a former usher, member of the men of the Church of God, and Board of Trustees. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007, at the Morehead First Church of God with Pastor Allan Hutchinson and Dr. John Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mark Lowe, Steve Stone, Bill Tolliver, Tim Lowe, Trevor Stone, and Ben Tackett.
