Donald R. Leggett, age 79, of Larkwood Avenue, Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. He was born January 19, 1937, in Montgomery County, a son of John Floyd Leggett and Lela Ray Lyons Leggett. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Connie Leggett; and his wife, Mary Rose Leggett. He is survived by one son, Douglas Ray (Jana) Leggett of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Donna Rose (Stewart) Morton of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Roger Floyd Leggett of Bardstown and Elgin Leggett of Winchester; one sister, Debbie (Jerry) Combs of Lexington; three grandchildren, Kyle Leggett of Mt. Sterling, Ashley (Gary) Mayberry of Winchester, and Brandi (Chris) Shular of Lawrenceburg; two great grandchildren, Trey Mayberry and Anna Rose Mayberry, both of Winchester; and special friend, Betty Conley of Mt. Sterling. Donald retired from A. O. Smith and was a member of Mt. Sterling Masonic Lodge No. 23 and the Rolling Hills Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Rolling Hills Church of Christ with Danny Murphy and Eddie Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.
