Donald Eugene Keeton, age 62, of Templeman Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 21, 2007, at his residence. He was born July 7, 1945, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Allen Richard and Florence Mae Kidd Keeton. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Ray Keeton, in December 1944. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Thornsberry Keeton; one son, the Rev. David Allen Keeton of Morehead, Kentucky; three daughters, Mary Jane Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio, Angela Botts Cundiff of Winchester, Kentucky, Heather Gibson of Morehead, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Tyler Blake Keeton, Kellie Anne Martin, Tristan Eugene Bruce Cundiff, and Trevor Layne Gibson. Additional survivors include three brothers, Larry Keeton of Brinegar, Kentucky, Ronald Keeton of Manitou Beach, Michigan, and David Keeton of Salt Lick, Kentucky; and six sisters, Wanda Copher of Clearfield, Kentucky, Carolyn Jones of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Linda Moore of Springtown, Texas, Eula Dillon of Clearfield, Kentucky, Brenda Lewis of Morehead, Kentucky, and Karen Jane Winkleman of Morehead, Kentucky. He was a heavy equipment operator with Dave Braughler Construction Company and Judy Construction. Donald enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, and farming. He played with the Soldiers for Christ gospel band and was a member of the New Horizon Fellowship Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Engle and Rev. Clark Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery on Christy Creek. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Keeton, Brian Keeton, Jim Cundiff, Matthew Lipps, Chris Lewis, Rodney Shepherd, David Keeton, Jr., Travis Gibson, and Phillip Keeton. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Saturday, September 22, 2007, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, September 23, 2007, at 2 p.m. Interment: Hamilton Cemetery
