Donald Howard 'Don' Cox, age 80, of Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at his residence. Born October 7, 1932, in Hillsboro, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Walter Grider and Lou Ada Parish Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Stirl, Oral, Willard, Blaine, and Cleddith 'Keed' Cox, and two sisters, Eddith Reynolds and Faye Gregory. Don's wife, Mary Delphia Gregory Cox, passed away on April 25, 2004. He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Rison and husband Dennis of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Anita Thompson and husband Wilbur of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Donna Garner and husband Thomas of Dayton, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Elbert Cox and Walter Cox, both of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one sister, Jewell Reeves of Middletown, Ohio; a special friend, Jean Reeves of Hillsboro, Kentucky; a host of nieces and nephews, other family, and many friends. Don was a contractor with Cox Brothers Construction Company and a member of Crain Creek Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James DeAtley, Elder Lonnie Gregory, and Brother Darry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Mary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Rison, Wilbur Thompson, Thomas Garner, Buddy Rison, Scottie Thompson, and Jason Ogden. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Wednesday, November 14, 2012, after 3 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Interment: Little Mary Cemetery, Maxey Flat
