Dixie Marie Barker Fultz, beloved daughter of Lonzie and Lottie Belle Holbrook Barker, went home to be with the Lord at age 83 on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born February 1, 1929, in Elliott County, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Fultz, who passed away July 27, 1978. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Sue Fultz Messer, and an infant son, Russell Ray Fultz. She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Marie Fultz of Waddy, KY; two sons, Charles Edward Fultz and wife Wanda of Morehead, KY and James E. Fultz and wife Kimberly of Stanford, KY; one sister, Anna Lucille Barker of Olive Hill, KY; 12 grandchildren, Dreama Fultz Perkins and husband Corey, Wendy Fultz, Paige Fultz Masters, Tim Messer and wife Jamie, Rick Messer and wife Kala, Donnie Messer and wife Becky, Mary E. Messer Cromer and husband Phillip, Jenny Messer, Charlie Messer, Nicholas Gregory, Abby Fultz, and Emma Fultz; and 10 great grandchildren, who will always 'carry your memory in our hearts.' Mrs. Fultz was a longtime member of the Hayes Branch United Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family, her church family, and her friends. 'Gone but never forgotten.' Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Lewis Baier and Elder Zora Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Stevens Cemetery. Visitation is 5 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
