Dewey Bernard McGuire, age 59, of US 60 West, Morehead, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

He was born July 16, 1963, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, a son of Joyce Mayse McGuire of Morehead and the late James William McGuire. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Clarence (Jim Bo) McGuire, and a nephew, Casey McGuire.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Roy McGuire (Kimberly Spencer) of Morehead; two sisters, Debbie Browning (Jimmy) of Wallingford and Linda McGuire (Tony Sparks) of Hillsboro; six nephews, Markie Donahue, Jeremy Donahue, Ryan Herrington, Tyller McGuire, Elijah McGuire, and Waylon Seales; three nieces, Cassandra Seales, Jessica McGuire, and Tessa McGuire; and other family and many friends.

Dewey was a merchandiser for Little Debbie snacks at local stores including Kroger and Walmart and worked for various distributing companies. Dewey enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, hanging out with friends, watching and playing all kinds of sports, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. All children were special to him.

Dewey was loved by family and friends alike and will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel in Morehead with a service immediately following at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bobby Tackett, Jr. officiating.
