Devonna Sue Back Stamper, age 70, of Whippoorwill Lane, Wellington, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born June 27, 1945, in Jackson, a daughter of the late Ray V. and Oma Back. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Aileen Back and Josephine Brewer. Sue is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harvey D. Stamper; one brother, Austin Back of Bethel; four nieces, Sandra Jenkins, Alberta Santana, Teresa Cook and Vicky Hurt; one nephew, Clinton Brewer; and several great nieces and nephews. Sue was a homemaker, a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing, and enjoyed making and selling crafts with Harvey at various festivals. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Olive Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Dewayne Johnson and Brother Jason Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Back Cemetery in Menifee County. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
