Dessie L. Fraley Parish, age 72, of Mellwood Lane, Morehead, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015, at her residence. Born July 27, 1942, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Willis Granville Fraley and Lillian Catron Fraley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Edmund, Carl, Eugene and Roy Fraley. Dessie is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ronnie Parish, whom she married November 6, 1997; one daughter, Beckie Bryant and husband David of Hillsboro; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, Granville Fraley, Jr., and Howard Fraley, both of Morehead. Dessie was a former cashier at Wal-Mart and seamstress at Cowden Manufacturing. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
