Dennis Arnold Davis, age 76, of Coldiron Drive, Morehead, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at UK St. Claire Hospital in Morehead.

He was born July 22, 1948, in Rowan County, and was a son of the late Arnold Davis and Beulah Elam Davis.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frederick Davis, and two sisters, Betty Razor and Barbara Sparks.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Conn Davis, whom he married January 4, 1980; one son, Dwayne Davis (Miranda); and two grandchildren, Tiffany Plank and Dalton Davis, all of Morehead.

Also surviving are three brothers, Donald Davis of Kingsport, Tennessee, Steve Davis and Timmy Davis, both of Morehead; one sister, Shelby Russell of Morehead; several nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family and numerous friends.

He had worked for M&M Services in Paris, Kentucky for many years. Dennis was co-owner of several businesses including Double D Construction, D & L Fencing, Appalachian Land & Lumber, Diamond Forrest Resources, and ADM Auto Sales.

Dennis was a member of Mudlick Church of God, Phelps Masonic Lodge 482, El Hasa Shrine Temple in Ashland, Morehead Shrine Club, and Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Dennis had a love for automobiles from attending car shows, working on cars, and a passion for fast cars. He enjoyed attending church, working on his farm, and most of all mentoring and loving his family.  He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Caldwell officiating.  Burial will follow in Davis Family Cemetery, 290 Coldiron Drive, Morehead, KY 40351. Military honors will be conducted at graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Pallbearers:  Darrell Davis, Eddie Davis, Robert Russell, Danny Russell, Tony Sparks, and Ty Davis.  Honorary pallbearers will be brothers and brothers-in-law: Donald, Steve, and Timmy Davis, Charlie Conn and Joseph Shankland.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
