Delmer "Arvis" Padgett, age 55, of Haldeman Road, Morehead, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at his residence.

Born October 1, 1964, in Morehead, he was the son of the late Delmer L. Padgett and Flora Rosetta Skeens Padgett.

Arvis is survived by his sister, Clyda Padgett of Morehead; several cousins; special people who became family, Matt and Robbin Knipp, Stanley Curtis, and Lisa Stotridge; and many friends.

Arvis served his country proudly as a member of the National Guard, enjoyed working, and appreciated the lifelong friendships he made through the years.  He was currently an associate at Morehead Wal-Mart.  Prior to that, he had been assistant manager at Morehead Food Lion, a team leader at Transcraft Flatbed Corp. in Mt. Sterling, and an employee at Express Mart in Morehead.  Avis enjoyed gardening, attending basketball games with family and friends, and watching football games on television.  A friendly person, Arvis always had time to listen to his family, co-workers and friends. He will be greatly missed.

At his request, no services will be held.
