Delmer Glennis Kidd, age 75, of Highway 711, West Liberty, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Born May 9, 1934 in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Allie and Myrtle Wagnor Kidd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Willowden Kidd Easterling and two brothers, Dennis Kidd and Cecil Kidd. Glennis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jo Cassity Kidd, whom he married December 24, 1953; one son, Dana Kidd and wife Phyllis of West Liberty, Kentucky; two daughters, Devra Kidd and husband Paul of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Marla Smith and husband Mandel of Grayson, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren, Brad and Michelle Kidd, Brent and Jenn Kidd, Glenna Martin and John Blankenship, Kelli Kidd, Brian Kidd, Weston Kidd, JoEllen Martin, and Sara Martin; and 2 great grandchildren, Jackson Kidd and Brody Kidd. Also surviving are one sister, Delois Trent and husband Odice of Morehead, Kentucky, and two sisters-in-law, Marie Kidd of Dayton, Ohio, and Geneva Kidd of West Liberty, Kentucky. Glennis was a farmer and former school bus driver for the Morgan County Board of Education in West Liberty, Kentucky. He was a member of the Blairs Mill Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Jimmy Adkins and Elder Tommy Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Cassity Cemetery in Blairs Mill, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Brad Kidd, Brent Kidd, Brian Kidd, Weston Kidd, Larry Easterling, and Dale Perry. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cassity Cemetery, c/o Betty Jo Kidd, 5392 Hwy 711, West Liberty, KY 41472.
