Della Merl Sloan Dillon, age 79, of Crum Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at her residence. She was born June 3, 1933, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Sam and Rena Trent Sloan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel Wilson, Mintha Crum, Ada Crisp, and Thelma Day; three brothers, Dowl, Ted, and Ray Sloan; and one grandson, Chad Brown. Mrs. Dillon is survived by five sons, Jimmy Dillon and wife Lori, Jackie Dillon and wife Cindy, Danny Dillon, Chris Dillon and wife Kim, and Dean Dillon, all of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Tamie Trent and husband Kevin of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Loretta Maddix of Olive Hill, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Dillon was a homemaker, a former employee of Imperial Cleaners, and a member of the East End Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow at the Trent Cemetery, Rainbow Road, Morehead, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Chad Black, Chris Dillon, Jackie Dillon, Jamie Trent, Jimmy Dillon, and Ray Baldridge.
