Obituary

Debra Sharon Stevens, 53, of Soldier, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 2, 1957, in Carter County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ira Lunsford and Ollie Snipes Potts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Wayne Lunsford and his wife Bonnie, David Potts, Danny Lunsford, Edith Keeton, and Linda Hollon. Mrs. Stevens is survived by her husband of 35 years, Randall Monroe Stevens, whom she married October 23, 1976; one daughter, Penny Henderson and husband Billy of Soldier, Kentucky; one son, Eric Stevens and wife Catie of Morehead, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Isabella Nicole Henderson and Ezekiel Lleyton Stevens. Other survivors include two sisters, Donna Gilliam and husband Tim and Carol Barnard, of Morehead, Kentucky, father and mother-in-law, Thomas Jr. and Evon Fraley Stevens, of Morehead, Kentucky; Danny-s wife, Libby Lunsford, and Edith-s husband, Clyde Keeton, both of Winchester, Kentucky; Linda-s husband, Dennis Hollon of London, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. Debra was a surgical technician at St. Claire Regional Medical Center for 20 years. Before her illness, she enjoyed riding horses, drawing, painting, and long Sunday rides on her motorcycle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bo Mullins, Wayne Keeton, Shane Greene, Robbie Keeton, and Robbie Keeton, Jr., Travis Jolley, Brett Cable, Brad Winkleman, and Tuffy Winkleman. Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Wednesday, June 1, 2011, after 7 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, June 2, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Winchester Cemetery, Winchester, KY
