David Thomas (Tommy) Jamison, 83, of Johnson School Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at his home. He was born May 10, 1929, in Grange City, Kentucky, a son of the late David Corbett (Corbie) and Sallie Snedegar Jamison. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lora Bernice Reed. Tommy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lena Whaley Jamison, whom he married March 6, 1954; one son, David Thomas Jamison and wife Tammy of Mount Vernon, Kentucky; one daughter, Martha Ann Rawlings and husband Larry of Palm Harbor, Florida; five grandchildren, Travis Rawlings, Kandis Proctor, Katherine Cook, Felicia Cameron, and David Corbett Jamison; and two great grandchildren, Lillian Proctor and Sadie Cook. Other survivors include two sisters, Lillian Pierce and Eulene Lee, both of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and his favorite dog, PeeWee. Tommy was a farmer, worked for 15 years at the U.S. Shoe Factory in Flemingsburg, and retired in 1994 from Woodmen of the World, after selling insurance for 17 years. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Fleming Masonic Lodge 112 and Oleika Temple Shriners in Lexington, Kentucky. Tommy was an Elder and lifelong member of the Grange City Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Grange City Christian Church with Pastor Richard Engle and Rev. Randy Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with full military honors by W.N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. Pallbearers will be John Foudray, Charles Curtis, Marion Crawford, Mike Savey, Glenn Burris, Monte Jent, and Luc Whaley. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Grange City Christian Church. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. by Fleming Masonic Lodge 112. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Grange City Christian Church, c/o John Foudray, 404 Hillsboro Road, Flemingsburg, KY 41041 Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Kentucky. Visitation: Tuesday, March 5, 2013, 5 p.m., Grange City Christian Church Funeral: Wednesday, March 6, 2013, 11 a.m., Grange City Christian Church Interment: Fairview Cemetery
