David Wayne Haney, age 61, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at his residence.

Born September 14, 1962, in Morgan County, Kentucky, David was the son of David Albert and Daisy Mae Haney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings.

David is survived by his wife, Geraldine Wages Haney, whom he married September 2, 2023. In addition to his wife, David is survived by one stepson, Wade Lee Wages II (Kayla Wages) of Morehead, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jordan Eddie Lee Wages (Mariah Wages), Victoria Kendra Lynn Wages, Austin Lee Allen Wages, and Zachary Mason Brown, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and one great grandson, Andrew Wade Wages of Morehead, Kentucky.

David was a mechanic at Morehead Tire and Automotive Repair. He enjoyed being a mechanic and in his leisure time fishing. He loved spending time with his wife and family. David was a very outgoing person and he enjoyed meeting and talking with people. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Per David's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
