David Carr
Fogle
Sep 30, 1957 — Mar 11, 2026
David Carr Fogle, age 68, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at University of Kentucky Medical Center Hospital. A man of quick wit and deep loyalty, David was a beloved husband, brother, and friend who left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Born to the late Francis Gordon Fogle and Helen Faye Carr Fogle, David was known for his sharp mind and his sense of humor. He was a master of the harmless practical joke, always finding ways to bring a smile or a laugh to his friends and family.
David's happiest moments were spent in the quiet of nature or the company of those he loved. Whether he was camping, fishing, or delving into the stories of his ancestors through genealogy, he approached life with curiosity and passion. David was a gifted musician who loved playing his guitar with his band, the Kentucky Backroads Band, and he rarely missed a chance to play poker with his brother-in-law, Nathan Bowling. He also shared a special bond with his pets, including his cats and his dog, Tedy.
David leaves behind his devoted soulmate, best friend and love of his life, Cindie Fogle, of Morehead, Kentucky. His memory will be lovingly cherished by his sisters and brother and their spouses: Marta Fogle Hinson (Jim), James G. Fogle (Harriet), and Janna Fogle Stair (Fred) all of Louisville, Kentucky, along with a community of friends who will always remember him fondly.
David graduated from Rowan County High School in 1975 and from Morehead State University with a master's degree in criminology and religious philosophy. He was employed at Goodwill of Kentucky as a security clerk.
