David Davis, age 42, of Old Baptist Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, after injuries sustained from an automobile accident. He was born November 30, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, and is the son of Polly Winkleman Davis Wallace of Morehead, Kentucky, and the late Curtis Davis. David was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Manford and Dora Barker Winkleman; paternal grandparents, Tom and Mary Lou Blair Davis; and brother-in-law, Darrin James Brown. In addition to his mother, David is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jodie 'Judy' Brown Davis, whom he married July 4 1990; five children that he deeply loved, David Davis, Tashina Davis, Adam Davis, Harli Davis, and Myli Davis, all at home; two brothers, Curt J. Davis of Morehead, Kentucky, and Ronnie Thompson of Springfield, Ohio; three sisters, Connie Spaniak and husband Frank of Gages Lake, Illinois, and Shelia Roberts and Sheryl Davis, both of Ohio. Additional survivors include father-in-law, James E. Brown of Clearfield, Kentucky, mother-in-law, Bernice Caudill Profitt and husband Bill of Clearfield, Kentucky; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne Brown and wife Tanya of Morehead, Kentucky, and Diane Stevens and husband Bobby of Clearfield, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. David was the owner of Bizzy Bee Child Care in Morehead, Kentucky, and a 1989 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, playing drums, and especially spending time with his children and family. He was a member of the New Hope Community Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rudy Reed and Brother Spike Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery on Stamper Ridge in Elliott County. Pallbearers: David Davis, Wayne Brown, Lincoln Brown, Nathan Brown, Frank Spaniak, Bobby Stevens, Bryan Ginter, and Jason Bradley. Honorary pallbearers: Dale Estep, Scott Porter, and Earl Ginter. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
