David L. Coldiron, age 72, of Overlook Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at his residence. He was born December 11, 1935, in Welch, West Virginia, son of the late Bert and Goldie Evelyn Davis Coldiron. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a half brother, Pat Howe. David is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda S. Coldiron; three sons, D. Scott Coldiron of Morehead, Kentucky, Ronald Lee (Barbara) Coldiron of Middletown, Ohio, and Darrell Dean Coldiron of Franklin, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Cathy (William) Powers of Morehead, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Nathasha Coldiron and Kyle Powers. Mr. Coldiron served for twenty years in the U.S. Air Force retiring in 1975 as a Technical Sergeant. Following his retirement, he was a salesman for the National Life Insurance Company for ten years. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and collecting coins. He was a member of the Bath County First Apostolic Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Flanery officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
