David Gordon Baird, age 67, of Moores Ferry Road, Salt Lick, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at his residence.

He was born July 21, 1955, in Prince George County, Virginia, and was the son of the late Gordon and Ruby Lamm Baird.

David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Angela Sawyer Baird; his children, Christopher Baird and Crystal Skeens, both of Morehead; one sister, Jennie Baird of Greenville, North Carolina; six grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

David attended schools in Prince George, Virginia, Camden, North Carolina, and Wilmington Community College.  He was the owner and operator of Buckskin Run Camper Park in Morehead.

He loved nature and being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, and gardening. David will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

At his request, there will be no visitation or service.
