Darrell Wayne Slone, age 45, of Morehead, formerly of Pikeville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

He was born August 8, 1978, in Pikeville, the beloved son of Wayne and Debra Robinson Slone of Pikeville.

In addition to his parents, Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Amanda Stepp Slone, whom he wed January 5, 2002, and their two children, Ava Rose Slone and Damien Joseph Wayne Slone, both of Morehead.

Others to cherish his memory include a sister, Amanda Jo Slone; a niece, Addie; and two nephews, Corey and Adam, all of Pikeville; and many extended family members and friends.

Darrell Wayne was creative, humorous, and passionate. His proudest achievements in life were his two beautiful children that he loved with unwavering devotion. His sense of humor and adoration of nostalgia were unmatched. Darrell served as Director of Horizon Village in the past, a position that truly utilized his passion for providing direct care to those that need it most. His altruism was limitless
