Obituary

Danny Dale Scaggs, age 61, of White Road, Soldier, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center. Born August 25, 1946, at Sharkey, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charlie and Lillian Brown Scaggs. On October 5, 1993, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Ann Conn Scaggs, who survives. In addition to his wife of 14 years other survivors include a daughter, Chrissy Scaggs of Bath County, Kentucky three step-sons, Tim Highley of Bath County, Kentucky, Jason Brewster of Morehead, Kentucky and Dustin Brewster of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three step daughters, Edessa Brewster of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Shelia Boyles of Grayson, Kentucky, and Paula Carter of Bath County, Kentucky. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Devon Hunt and Lillian Hunt; seven step-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Scaggs of Salt Lick, Kentucky; two sisters, Rita Jordan of Louisville, Kentucky, and Barbara Lucci of Ashland, Kentucky. Danny was a retired Union Carpenter and attended the Dry Branch Church of God. He enjoyed hunting and horseback riding. Funeral services will be conducted1 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gayle Price and Rev. Willard Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Conn Cemetery in Enterprise, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Eddie Dehart, Allen Stevens, Paul Conn, Jason Brewster, Dustin Brewster, and Tim Highley. Visitation will be after 5p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
