Danny Ray Lewis, age 68, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at the Georgetown Community Hospital.

Born September 6, 1954, in West Liberty, he was a son of the late Clara Lewis.  Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Ray Lewis; a daughter, Belinda Gose; one brother, Gary Lee Lewis; and maternal grandparents, Laef and Ivory Perry Lewis.

Danny's wife of 37 years, Connie Hardin Lewis, preceded him in death on February 17, 2017.

He is survived by three daughters, Kelly McElhaney (Dewayne) of Morehead, Stephanie McDaniel (Eric) of Owingsville, and Tiffany Lewis (Brently Brandenburg) of Georgetown; special cousin, Linda Mullins of Wellington; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Danny was a self-employed mechanic and enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Perry Cemetery on Route 772 with the Rev. Robert Taylor officiating.

Pallbearers:  Eric McDaniel, Aaron McCoy, Hunter McCoy, Brently Brandenburg, Chester Mullins, and Michael Mullins.

At his request, there will no visitation.
