Danny Lee Haines, age 58, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton. Born March 16, 1954, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Dan David and Ieda Hall Haines. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Haines, who passed away February 13, 1996. Danny is survived by his wife, Rita Kitchen Haines, whom he wed April 20, 1973; two sons and one daughter, Jerry Haines and wife Tasha, Brian Haines, Melissa Powell and husband Ronnie, all of Bradenton, Florida; and four grandchildren, Autumn Powell, Kourtney Powell, Aaron Haines and Stephanie Powell. Other survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Poor of Soldier, Kentucky, and Mary Hampton of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; one brother, Dan David Haines of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; other relatives and friends. Danny was a carpenter, had been a race car driver, and enjoyed NASCAR, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Mabry Cemetery on U.S. 60 East. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
