Danny Dale Goldy, age 68, of Ringos Mill Road, Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014, while on vacation in Philip, South Dakota. Born March 4, 1946, in Bath County, he was the son of the late Avery and Sylvia Norris Goldy. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Wayne Goldy in 1972. Danny is survived by his wife, Jennifer Story Goldy; three sons, Johnny Dale (Robyn) Goldy of Hillsboro, Teddy Avery (Brenda) Goldy of Fillmore, California, and Mike Clay (Tasha) Goldy of Hillsboro; and three grandchildren, Rachel, Morgan, and Cranston 'Hoss' Goldy. Also surviving is his sister, Gay Goldy of Flemignsburg; an aunt, Lena Greer of Muncie, Indiana; special brother-in-law, Talmadge Johnson of North Carolina; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends. Danny served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice. He was a member of the Grange City Christian Church and enjoyed traveling and loved his family beyond words. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014, at Hutton Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Engle and Rev. Gaylord Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery in Midland with full military honors by W.N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. Pallbearers: Denny Story, Jerry Story, Donnie Story, Pat Story, Jimmy Story, Billy Story, Ricky Story, and Bobby Story. Honorary pallbearers: Charles Pruwitt, Randy Barker, Talmadge Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Paul Marcum, Clayton Bilbrey, Ina Lee Johnson, and Morgan Wright.
