Daniel Robert Lee Melton, age 36, of Howell Drennen Road, Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022, at his parents' home in Wellington, KY.

Born April 17, 1986, in Morehead, KY, he was the son of the late Lee Melton, who passed away in 2005, and Marie Morris Human and her husband Dennis of Wellington, KY.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, Daniel is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brown Melton, whom he wed September 19, 2016; two sons, Damien Lee Melton of Morehead, KY, and Blaine Elijah Lee Melton of Mt. Sterling, KY; one daughter, Adalynne Leona Marie Melton of Frankfort, KY; three sisters, Shirley Cartwright of Plymouth, IN, Shelly Weiss of Williamsburg, KY, and Leah Stacy of Plymouth, IN, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Daniel was a 2004 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and a former employee of Pizza Hut in Mount Sterling and Papa Johns in Morehead.  He had many interests including cooking, reading, drawing and the great outdoors.  He especially liked hiking and going to Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge.  Most of all, he loved being a stay-at-home Dad and spending time with his precious children.  He will be missed and remembered with love.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
