Danica "Donna" Wescott Stamper, age 69, of Old River Road, Salt Lick, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the U.K. Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

Born January 6, 1955, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Virgil Tea Wescott and Lillian Madeline Sorrell Wescott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mada Poston and Shasta Conn. Her husband, Harlan Vernon "Buck" Stamper, whom she married August 28, 1990, passed away on September 14, 2022.

Donna is survived by one daughter, Katelynn Renee "Katy" Stamper of Salt Lick; one brother, Terry Wescott of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Tara Taylor (Chad) of Port Orange, Florida, and two step grandchildren, Kaley Jo and Gage.

She is also survived by two sisters, Rita Wescott of Lexington and Dorthula Alderson of Morehead; five nephews, Mike, Gerald, and Patrick Conn, David Wescott, and James Alderson; one niece, Teresa Pendland, as well as other relatives and dear friends.

Donna graduated from Morehead State University and was a registered nurse for more than 40 years in various medical facilities including St. Claire Medical Center, U. K. Medical Center, Bath County and Rowan County health departments, and Life Care Center in Morehead.  She enjoyed her work; however, her main focus centered on taking care of family, especially Katy, whom she loved dearly.  Donna will be greatly missed and remembered for her dedication, kindness, compassion, and determination.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Caldwell officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
