Damon Lamont -D- Long, age 39, of Crawford Road, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born September 2, 1971, in Louisville, Kentucky, and is the son of Mary Jo Long of Morehead, Kentucky, and the Rev. Benjamin Smith of Memphis, Tennessee. -D- is also survived by his wife, Crystal McClain Long, of Clearfield, Kentucky, and his three children, 14-year-old Xavier, 9-year-old Isis, and 5-year-old Torin, all at home. Other survivors include two brothers, Andre Simmons of Washington, D.C., and Aaron Smith of Louisville, Kentucky, and one sister, Mauria Smith of Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Morehead State University, was a volunteer soccer coach, and was an artist and musician. Knows as D-Analyst in his -MC- world, Damon-s music was a tribute to his life. Damon loved his family, was an exceptional father, and always considered his children as his greatest achievement. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wade Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Randy Skeens, Ray Cooper, Jimmy Higdon, B. J. Litteral, Boone Brumagen, Caleb Cooper, Lucas Holloway, and Jonathan Litteral. Honorary pallbearer: Curt Samuels. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Saturday, September 25, 2010, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, September 26, 2010, at 2 p.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
